Client: Park Hall Farm, Oswestry
Brief: To create an educational resource for schools to explore the Iron Age Roundhouse in more detail than they can do when on site at the farm.
Details: Working out of hours to avoid disrupting the public, we scanned the outside of the Roundhouse to capture the surrounding fields and livestock and then moved inside, focusing on the signage and then working our way around the different areas of the house adding Wandatags to key items to help teachers and pupils learn more about them.
Feedback: The quality of the imagery even in the extremely low light conditions of the Roundhouse is outstanding, we are delighted with how the whole experience really is the next best thing to actually being there in person. The tags are fantastic to annotate the unique areas of the historic building, giving an educational element to an intriguing tour. We hope to carry out further scans on the venue's other museums such as the Victorian classroom and WW2 tunnels.
